Staycation with Dad!

This week we have been having a little "staycation" with Rowdy. I wasn't nannying this week and Rowdy decided it would be fun to take a few days off and enjoy some family time before it got too hot to leave the house, we actually got blessed with some nice weather! We have been relaxing around the house and seeing friends and enjoying family time. On Friday we went to breakfast together and walked around the Waterfront and Old Town Scottsdale. It was SO nice out, overcast and around 85 with a little breeze from the water, so nice to get one last day of weather we could bear to be outside in! We also went to the doctor for Bella's 4 month appointment. She has decided to stay our little peanut a bit longer! She was 10lbs 13oz and 23.25 inches long! She has doubled her birthweight and has gained about 5 1/2lbs and grown 5.25 inches (Rowdy and I are convinced he didn't do a great job measuring her length though, she was definitely not stretched out fully) I thought she would be a bit bigger but hopefully the rice cereal will chunk her up a bit, for now she is our perfect little tiny peanut (our nickname for her, one of many, I will do a post soon about all her nicknames, poor thing will never know her real name!). I could not love this picture more! Such a little daredevil on her horse! Cracks me up! Grandma Julia picked out this rocking horse for her before she was born. Rowdy decided it was time to put her on it, she loved it! It was so cute to see her hold onto the handles and ride!

Getting Messy and Getting Clean

We decided to let Bella try some rice cereal recently. We aren't really pushing it, they had it on sale at Target so I got it and then I got curious....So we tried and she was definitely not a fan the first time. We have tried it twice now and she seemed to like it a little more the second time. The eating pictures aren't necessarily in order, the first set are the second time she tried when she liked it a bit more, then it shows the first time she trie,d you will be able to tell by the look on her face! And then I included some pictures of some bathtime fun, we had to clean the cereal out of her neck rolls!

LOVE! We let Bella play on her towel without her diaper before her bath. I told Rowdy, "oh she will be fine, don't worry, she won't pee" Wrong. She immediately peed. We didn't have another bath towel because we left one at my parents so I had to get out part of Rowdy's father's day present, Bella's new "I love Daddy" bath towel. Rowdy and Bella have so much fun together at bath time I thought it was fitting!

Playtime!

It is so much fun playing with Bella right now. She is getting into so many things and is so interested in the world around her. It is so fascinating to watch her play with a simple rattle, she will stare at it, pass it between her hands and be totally stunned that she was able to do it, I could watch her for hours! Right now she is obsessed with her hands, as in, I think today I saw her for a total of 2 minutes when her hands weren't in her mouth! I am pretty sure she is in the beginning stages of teething, she is a drooly mess! Here are som epictures of fun play with Bella!

Bella is 4 Months Old

Isabella Grace is 4 Months Old!

At 4 Months Old Bella:

• Can almost roll both ways. She can still roll from her belly to her back and can pretty much roll from back to belly also. She still gets stuck on her hand though but the rest of her body is there! It's very funny looking!
• Sleep varies right now but on average she is still doing about 6 or so hours for her first stretch and then 3 hour stretches after that but she has been doing more and more 7 or 8 hour stretches and we are VERY thankful for this!
• Is such a sweet and happy little girl! She is always smiling and making the goofiest noises! We seriously can't figure out where half of the noises come from but they crack us up!
• She has been laughing more and it is my favorite sound in the world!
• She is so strong and has so much head control! She has tried out her entertainer a few times and seems to like it. I think she will like it more when her feet touch the bottom better but for now we have been boosting her a little with a book.
• She is so social and loves to be around people or at parties. She fights sleep so hard though when we are out because she doesn't want to miss anything! It's so adorable!
• She tried a little rice cereal to celebrate her 4 month birthday, she was not feeling it! We will try again but I think we will wait a while. We weren't really planning on starting yet but they had it on sale at Target and we were eating and decided to let her try a bite or two. I don't think any of it actually stayed in her mouth, it all ended up on the bib.
• She can keep her head in line with her body when pulled to sitting position.
• No height or weight yet, but soon! I can't wait to hear what she weighs! Her appointment is in a week, yay!

We have been busy lately enjoying every moment with Bella and having fun outside while it is still possible to actually be outside, those days are definitely numbered! I am also a sleep deprived parent so instead of doing separate posts about recent activities I have decided to combine them all into one, here is what we have been up to....

Here are Bella's besties. Seriously, how cute is this bunch! From left: Micah Doe, Maya Spires, Bella Owens, Charlie Anderson. Micah is the youngest and is 10 weeks younger than Bella, Maya and Charlie are 4 weeks older than Bella. We had so much fun at the Anderson's house for a Memorial Day BBQ and all the kids had a great time too!

On Memorial Day we went to my parents house to lay by the pool. We decided to see if Bella would like the water. I knew it was probably a bit too cold still for her seeing as she has only ever been in nice cozy bath water. How cute is she in her swimsuit!!?! She has a bikini too so we will be having a little swimwear fashion show!

Here she is taking a dip with dad, she actually didn't mind it too much! I think she will like it when it is a bit warmer.

Jenny let me borrow her super awesome camera while I had Maya and Bella. I thoroughly enjoyed taking pictures on the camera (I took like 5oo.....seriously.....I had WAY too much fun!)

I finally got it on video! This is really only the second time she got some good belly laughs going. She has such a cute laugh but these kind are definitely my favorite! She's in a very good mood after a diaper change (and outfit change....she had an explosion). What could be better than this little cutie laughing! I'm just so glad I got the second half or so on video!! I was worried she would stop as soon as she saw the camera because she is totally fascinated with the camera. (Please ignore my obnoxiousness....it was necessary to get the laughs though) Enjoy! :-)
